I’m very happy to share my new single “Everyone’s a Story,” a collaboration with Johan Becker from Secret Service. The track is released digitally and will also appear on my upcoming album Urban Skies, together with our previous collaboration “Stand Up”. You can listen to the single here.
“Everyone’s a Story” is a more downtempo song (95 bpm) and probably the closest I’ve ever come to an 80s-style power ballad. Even so, it’s made entirely the same way as all my official releases — using only analog synthesizers and analog drum machines. Johan’s vocal performance brings a lot of emotion and depth to the track, and I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out.
We also have a video coming out this evening. We shot the video during the actual recording session for the vocals, so the shots you see in the video are from the actual performance. I didn't think we even would have enough material for a video, because we only had two days to arrange the tune, compose the lyrics and record the vocals. We even re-wrote some of the lines while recording, with me uploading the latest lyrics version to Johan's phone. :)
